Clout Archery - Grand National Archery Meeting at Lilleshall, 21-23 June 2017
A Double 1-way Imperial Clout and a Double Metric Clout on the Saturday, then a Double 2-way Imperial Clout on the Sunday. Cheshire longbow archers had a brilliant weekend, with The Longbow Club taking most of the longbow prizes. Alison Williams:  2nd Double 1-way Imperial, 1st Double Metric, 1st Double 2-way Imperial, Overall Longbow Champion. Katrina Horton:  1st Double 1-way Imperial, 2nd Double Metric, 2nd Double 2-way Imperial. Steve Williams: 1st Double 1-way Imperial, 1st Double Metric, 3rd Double 2-way Imperial. Chris Eccles:  3rd Double 1-way Imperial, 2nd Double Metric, 2nd Double 2-way Imperial. Clout Archery - Eagle Bowmen Weekend of Clout at Penrith, 10-11th June 2017
Catriona Charters won the Ladies Longbow, breaking the National record for the Double Metric clout. She was also the Supreme Archer Longbow Senior. Anda Mayer (Stalybridge) was 3rd Lady Longbow. The standard of shooting was so high on this day, that, even though my score equalled last year's Cheshire record and I shot a GMB score, I still didn't make it into the medals! Iain Stowell from CCB was 1st Gents Longbow. Dylan Higgs from The Longbow Club was 1st Junior Longbow 75metres and Supreme Archer Longbow Junior. Clout Archery - Day 3 of the Tri Clout 28th August 2017, Double Metric Clout.
Clout Archery - Day 2, 27th August 2017, a Double 1-way Imperial clout. The Cheshire Clout Championships and Open, also EAF championships.
Catriona Charters (Hinckley Bowmen) broke the National Records for both the Single and Double Ladies Longbow Imperial Clout. She was also the first Lady Longbow to ever score 150 points and gain a Purple Imperial Tassel Award. Her score was 158, which smashed the previous record by 10 points. The photo shows Catriona looking at her scoresheet when she realised that she had broken the record! The Longbow Club took the club team longbow trophy; Katrina Horton 2nd lady, Alison Williams 3rd lady, Iain Stenhouse 3rd Gent. Dylan Higgs from The Longbow Club was 1st Junior Boy Longbow 80yards.
